Why this community session?

Calisthenics is often associated with impressive skills — handstands, presses, levers and other advanced movements. However, behind these skills is a training process built on strength development, structured with intention.

Many people are curious about calisthenics but are unsure how to begin or what bodyweight training involves.

This session introduces the principles behind how we approach calisthenics training.


This session is for you if:

  • You are curious about starting calisthenics but unsure where to begin
  • You want to build strength using bodyweight training
  • You are curious how people progress from basic to advanced calisthenics skills
  • You are looking for a structured approach to calisthenics training
  • You want to understand how we coach & develop your calisthenics skills

  • What calisthenics training involves
  • How strength and skill training work together
  • Why mobility is often the make-or-break factor
  • Common misconceptions about calisthenics training

Experience Selected Training Drills

Participants will try a few selected drills used in calisthenics training to better understand how these concepts translate into practice.

This session is not intended to be a full training class, but rather an introduction to calisthenics training.
