Class Types

Foundation
The base of all physical pursuits. Develop a foundational level of strength and flexibility to grow stronger and move better.

Skill

With well-developed strength and flexibility from the foundation classes, explore what the body can do by picking up new, specific skills and learning to move into different shapes.

 Foundation

BODYWEIGHT STRENGTH
All skills require strength - this is where to develop it. Get strong with minimal equipment and structured exercise progressions. Bodyweight movements are deceptively challenging as one progresses towards different variations of push-ups, pull-ups, single-leg squats, and even working with the rings.

Bodyweight Strength rotates among 3 distinct themes:
  • Push
  • Pull
  • Legs

​PROGRESSIVE MOBILITY

Mobility - the ability to move easily, freely, and without tightness or stiffness. Multiple joints are trained to develop greater range of motion and strength, allowing the body to go beyond its flexibility in a safe and controlled manner.

Progressive Mobility rotates among 3 distinct themes:
  • Upper Limbs
  • Lower Limbs
  • Spine

​KINSTRETCH®
Kinstretch® is a “movement enhancement system that develops maximum body control, flexibility and useable ranges of motion". Based on biomechanics and body control development, it helps develop more movement options to be strong and safe. One of the most crucial differences between Kinstretch® and other approaches is utilising an active range of motion or mobility training to build joint strength and awareness.  Skill

HANDSTAND

HANDSTAND BASICS

Prerequisites:
  • None

For those new to handstands or would like to achieve greater balance in a straight handstand. Understand what a handstand is, gain the awareness to how a handstand works, and build a strong foundation of a straight handstand.  Learn to kick up to the wall consistently, bail out of a handstand safely, and develop both strength and balance.


HANDSTAND

Prerequisites:
  • able to consistently kick up to a wall in a handstand
  • able to hold against wall (back facing wall) for at least 30 secs

With the confidence and competency in a handstand, improve your balance and stability in various handstand shapes, even exploring handstand transitions if you’re up for it. With effective drills, build the required strength and skill to bring your handstand to the next level.

If you’re currently working on meeting the prerequisites, the Handstand Basics class is a suitable option.


​HANDSTAND II

Prerequisites:
  • able to kick up to a freestanding handstand and bail out confidently

Go beyond handstand balance as you advance towards handstand presses, transitions from one shape to another, maybe even walking on your hands, and so much more.

​BACKBEND


BACKBEND BASICS

Backbends require adequate awareness for the body to be free of pain and bend safely. Understand what a backbend is and develop precise control when exploring basic backbend shapes such as bridge/wheel. 


BACKBEND

Explore more backbend shapes such as lunge backbend, kneeling backbend, dropback, scorpion, and more. Through effective drills, gain the necessary strength and develop greater range of flexibility to bend safely.
