MUSHIN GUIDELINES & POLICIES
General Studio Guidelines
- Come in appropriate attire that allows you to move comfortably. No shoes or socks are required for all studio classes. Mats and props are available but you may bring yours if you'd like. Towels are not provided.
- Shower facilities and amenities are available. Bring a personal towel for showering.
- A water dispenser with both hot and cold water is available. Bring a personal bottle.
- Kindly arrive at least 10 mins before time of class. To ensure minimal disruption upon the class starting, latecomers may be denied entry.
Class Pack Policies
Class Pack Validity Period:
- All class packs must have their first class booked within 4 weeks of purchase. Class packs that do not get activated within stipulated duration will have their validity start automatically after 4 weeks.
- Therefore, the validity of all class packs starts from either a) first class attended or b) 4 weeks after its date of purchase, whichever comes first.
The Newcomer's Trial:
- Everyone, whether you're a first timer or already part of the Mushin fam (yay), gets to purchase and utilise "The Newcomer's Trial" once. More details can be found here.
- Multiple purchases/usages of The Newcomer's Trial from the same person will have the credits forfeited.
- Credits from The Newcomer's Trial are not eligible to exchange for registration of Intensives, workshops, and/or special classes.
Sharable Studio Class Packs:
- The 30- and 50-class packs are sharable between a maximum of 2 persons
- Sharing requests must be made within 3 days from purchase of class pack. Requests made after 3 days will strictly not be granted
- Validity period of shared class packs will be distributed proportionally according to credit allocation.
- There can only be 1 sharing request per class pack. If the class pack has been shared among 2 persons, there can be no subsequent sharing even if they are among the same 2 persons
- After purchase, email hello@mushinmovement.com with:
- names and email addresses of both persons
- number of classes to be shared (e.g. Bruce 20 classes / Lee 30 classes)
Expired Credits Rollover Option:
- Expired class credits can be rolled over to a newly purchased class pack within 30 days of expiration
- Purchase a new class pack within 1 month of expired class credits (e.g. if your credits expire on 1 Jan, buy a new class pack before 1 Feb to be eligible for the rollover)
- Email to hello@mushinmovement.com requesting for the rollover. Email request must be sent in as the rollover process is not automated
- Expired credits will be rolled over to the new class pack
Extension, Suspension, & Transfer Requests:
- Requests to extend or suspend class packs are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Situations involving health/medical reasons must be supplemented by medical certifications while situations involving travel, supplemented by travel documents.
- If granted, extensions and suspensions are according to stated duration on given documents. If a transfer is necessary and request is granted, a second transfer or requests to transfer class pack back to original account holder will not be allowed.
All sales of class packs are final and strictly non-refundable.
Membership Policies
How does the Membership Work?
Freezing your Membership
Terminating your Membership
- There are 2 memberships: 1) 4 weeks no contract, and 2) 12 weeks contract
- Memberships are billed every 4 weeks
- Get 12 class credits every 4 weeks starting from your first billing cycle
- Unused credits will expire at the end of each 4 week cycle and cannot be rolled over to the next billing cycle
- Memberships will renew automatically - you will need to write in to terminate the membership
Freezing your Membership
- Fill in this form to freeze/pause your membership at $5/week.
- All membership freezes must be submitted at least 3 working days prior to the start of the freeze period to allow for processing.
- 12 week contracts are entitled to 1 free freeze of up to 4 weeks
Terminating your Membership
- email us at hello@mushinmovement.com to terminate your membership
- termination requests must be sent at least 5 working days before the next billing date
- 12 week contract: a contract termination fee of $75 will be charged for early termination
Class Booking & Waitlist Rules

- Create an account here and purchase our class packs here.
- Book the classes you wish to attend from our booking schedule here.
- All classes must be booked with a valid class pack. No walk-ins at the studio are allowed. Show-ups without a valid class reservation will be denied entry.
- Studio and virtual class bookings are opened 7 days in advance.
12-hour Booking Cancellation:
- The class credit is forfeited for cancellations of bookings made less than 12 hours from time of class. Forfeited class credits are strictly not reimbursed. Situations involving health/medical reasons must be supplemented with medical certificates and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Class Cancellation:
- Classes that do not meet the minimum number of signups will be cancelled. Class cancellation emails will be sent to notify remaining signups.
- Ensure that your account on Punchpass is subscribed to our emails and that hello@mushinmovement.com is listed as an approved sender to the email address associated to the account you have with us. This allows for prompt communication.
Waitlist:
- You can add yourself to a waitlist if the class is full, and get notified via email if slots become available. Make sure hello@mushinmovement.com is on your email white list to receive all notifications.
- Waitlists operate on a first respond, first serve basis. There is no reservation of slots in order of the waitlist.
- When a slot becomes available, the entire waitlist will receive an email notification. The first person to click and opt in will be booked into the slot.
